Premium Returns
Employers must submit statements for each salary month with a breakdown of all premiums for each employee to BHM, labeled with union. Statements must be submitted by the due date.
The due date is the 15th day of the month following the salary month, while the final due date is the last working day of the due date month.
It is essential that the correct number and name of the union appear on each statement.
Claims are created in an online bank when a statement has been received, unless another payment method has been requested or if a bank transfer has always been made. If payment is not made before the final due date, late interest is calculated from the due date to the payment date.
The booking and collection agency requests that all statements be sent electronically.
The return can be sent electronically by XML (see URL at skilagrein.is) or with a SAL transaction to skilagreinar@bhm.is. The employee must be labeled with the correct union number, correct collector (BHM 2999) and valid transaction types for electronic submission.
A username and password (webkey) are not required and BHM therefore does not assign any passwords.
Electronic Statement Form on the BHM website.
Self-employed and smaller companies in the open labour market that do not submit premiums directly from the payroll system can submit the premiums through the above-mentioned electronic statement form. The form is easy to use and a calculation is displayed automatically.
The electronic statement form is only for employees in the open labour market, another delivery method must be used for other employees.
Users must decide which funds they will not pay into by checking the funds they want to skip. Please note that an amount must be entered in both salary columns since the Science Fund is calculated from the standard salary, even if it is the same salary amount.
It is also essential to carefully review the information before pressing the Send button. A receipt will be automatically sent to the provided email address once the premiums have been sent.
The return form must be filled out monthly, i.e. for each salary month.
Null returns are not accepted. If there is no income for a given month, returns are omitted for that month.
Email address: skilagreinar@bhm.is
We do not recommend sending returns by regular mail but, if necessary, the mailing address is:
Bandalag háskólamanna v/BIB, Borgartúni 6, 105 Reykjavík.
